Yakou Furio is a detective and the chief of the Noctural Detective Agency in Master Detective Archives: Raincode
Although Yakou isn't a Master Detective, he's still certified by the World Detective Organization. It can be said that he lacks the courage to defy Amaterasu, which leads to his agency's policy being to stay away from trouble and any kind of conflict that will get him involved with the corporation.
Yakou's character is a loveable one, which is why Chapter 4: The Imperfect Insider is so hard to play through. Everything that he does has a purpose to it - he has his own goals and aspirations. He wants to save Kanai Ward from harm and Amaterasu Corporations' wrath. He deeply cares for the Master Detectives, going as far as to act like some kind of father figure to them, offering support when needed.
Chapter 4 consists of Yakou killing Dr. Huesca to get revenge for his deceased wife. He then hired Fink the Slaughter Artist to kill him afterwards, taking his guilt with him and destroying evidence.
Dr. Huesca was known to have layers of protection to prevent outsiders from reaching him inside his lab. One of these protective layers was a room that emits toxic gas without a cure. The gas is strong enough to kill even without breathing it in, as the skin absorbs it. This is why Yakou hired a hitman to kill him afterwards, as it hid the fact that he killed the doctor.
Vivia Twilight is a Master Detective with a forte of "Spectral Projection" in Master Detective Archives: Raincode
Vivia is regarded as the most introverted Master Detective at the agency. He can also be described as self-indulgent, as he is often seen under the fireplace at the agency or under the piano at Kanai Ward's hotel.
